About the performance
No Mans Land is fluid and consists of solid ingredients that are mixed differently per location. The four acrobats are constantly looking for new structures and trees to hang in, for interesting corners and stories. In this way, you as an audience become part of a unique and moving performance. This time the tour consists mainly of concrete, some water and old ship tools. The artists are also your guide on this tour over the wharf. In their own words, they prefer disgrace to grace, elephant to elegant and mischievous to nice. They push physical boundaries in a playful way and are proudly praised by critics for their 'crass' style.
*This performance is less suitable for people with walking difficulties because it involves a walk
About the company
The adventure started in 2010 with a boat, bought in the Netherlands, which the artists took to France. Sailing the Canal du Midi became the setting for their first performance. They toured all over the world with the multidisciplinary performance Lost Post. In 2016 the collective won the Oxford Samuel Beckett Theater Trust Award for the performance The Machine in collaboration with Karkatag Kollektiv. The artists are currently involved in a multidisciplinary research project for the MA Contemporary Circus practices at the Stockholm Art Academy (SKH). This research is about identity as a black woman and is at the intersection of discrimination, art and the need to tell underexposed stories.
